Rebel Sonix is London based DJ & Producer Larry Holcombe Video Director, Motion Graphics artist and VJ Phil G.
UK Dubstep producer Larry Holcombe will be known to many fans of electronic music as the production brains behind breakbeat duo DEF inc and under his various guises he's worked with an array of top artists including: Coldplay, Kylie, Barbara Tucker and C and C music Factory's Zelma Davis. |

Larry has also collaborated on a range of commercial projects for household brands such as Sony Playstation, as well as providing beats and other material for national TV & Radio broadcasters.
Out of a desire for change and to push the boundaries of production & performance to its limits, Larry disbanded DEF inc. in 2008 and started his new cutting edge dubstep solo project Rebel Sonix.
A love of video and audio/visual interaction led to Larry hooking up with motion graphics artist and film maker Phil G. Phil has spent the last few years in Hong Kong running Atomic Sushi (a digital media dojo) during which time he produced shuriken sharp visual stimulus for brands such as MTV, Nike and Xbox. Phil has bought a visual dimension to Rebel Sonix, producing videos to accompany Rebel Sonix productions and VJing alongside Larry during Rebel live shows. The Sonix boys also produce V-mixes i.e. remix the tune; then take things a step further by mashing up the video!
The first 2 Rebel Sonix singles Punishment Dub/Per (Version) and Ankle Grinder/Vodka is Evil came out on Eight Fx and received huge support from the top players. Following on from this, the Sonix boys have recently decided to set up their own label - Rebel Phonix, and the first single on the label Samhain/Looking Back is to be closely followed by plenty of brand spanking new Rebel material.
The Rebel Sonix DJ portfolio has taken Larry all over the world over from Minsk to Mumbai..the duo take their AV dubstep live show on the road from May 2010. Watch this space as the plot thickens...
